Education Queensland

QAST has a history of working in partnership with Education Queensland including:

• assisting individual Queensland state schools implement projects that promote a healthy lifestyle and embody the Health Promoting Schools approach
• coordinating events and developing networks through Education Queensland community participation officers
• developing plans and consulting on issues relating to the future direction of health and physical activity programs

In the future QAST hopes to continue this valuable partnership by assisting schools to implement the Smart Choices healthy food and drink supply strategy.  QAST is currently supported by Education Queensland by way of provision of premises and funds for postage and telephone services.
