Tuckshop Help Line
Call 07 3324 1511
There is nothing better than simply picking up the phone when you have a question about running your tuckshop. Our staff can assist with queries on a range of topics including managing a food service outlet, nutrition, volunteers, food safety, menu design and more.
My Tuckshop Toolbox
Accessed via the website, “My Tuckshop Toolbox” provides members with a suite of tools necessary to run a tuckshop effectively including budgeting tools, costing calculators, stocktake records, food safety templates, posters and more.
Menu Health Check
Each year members receive a report on their current menu providing a summary of how well it performs against Smart Choices criteria and offers suggestions for improvements. This is an ideal tool to keep committees, Principals and Convenors informed. To receive a health check simply send us a copy of your menu or submit it via eMenu.
Food Safety Training & Support
We keep you up to date on any changes in your obligations and applicable government regulations. Online resources are also available for training your volunteers and we offer subsidised nationally accredited training for your Food Safety Supervisor.
When you need help with your menu, eMenu is the place to go and only QAST Members have access to all the features. With eMenu Plus you have access to reports on your menu online, submit recipes for rating and, if eligible, have your menu become QAST approved.
Talking Tuckshops eNews Updates
We keep you up to date on all relevant issues impacting Queensland tuckshops including government food guidelines, food safety regulations, food industry news and more. Each edition also comes with recipe ideas, news on what other tuckshops are doing, upcoming events, available grants and more.
Tuckshop of the Year Awards
All QAST members are eligible to enter the awards aimed at celebrating and acknowledging tuckshops and those who work in them that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success throughout the year. Previous winners have enjoyed the recognition gained in their school community and beyond. The first step is to have your Menu Health Check completed by the annual cut off date of 31st August.
Tuckshop Day Photo Competition
The first Friday each November is all about saying thank you to everyone involved in your tuckshop. Members simply post their best Tuckshop Day photo on our Facebook site to be in the running for our annual prize. Join us on Facebook to receive notices about this years competition.
